DroppGroup Partners with UC Berkeley to Automate the Development of AI-generated Multimedia

DroppGroup and UC Berkeley intend to revolutionize AI-generated multimedia content, which is anticipated to grow to $52 billion by 2028.

DroppGroup, a leading developer of generative digital media using Web3 technology, is announcing the expansion of its collaboration with UC Berkeley’s Launchpad program, a premier machine learning organization, to develop a benchmarking framework for droppGroup’s innovative generative media intelligence (GMI) system. According to the announcement, the duo will be working on an innovative generative media intelligence (GMI) system, which produces AI-generated multimedia content such as 3D modeling, XR experiences, and metaverse environments.

With the strategic partnership, content creators, especially in the metaverse space, can now tap into the artificial intelligence to generate digital images away from the traditional labor-intensive processes. Furthermore, the benchmark project will officially kick-start before the end of the first quarter of 2024, with a detailed timeline running until May.

Why DroppGroup and UC Berkeley Believe in AI Industry

Both droppGroup and UC Berkeley have been working together since 2022 to further build products that tap on the artificial intelligence. The artificial intelligence industry has ballooned significantly in the past few years as the demand to scale operations for different enterprises grew rapidly.

However, the question of where AI data is collected has been looming in the AI space for some time now. For droppGroup, transparency about data collection has always been paramount, and ultimately why they chose to use blockchain technology to prove where AI data is sourced and aid in assessing generative AI systems’ performance, accuracy, and efficiency.

A lot of resources have been used to develop different large language models (LLMs) similar to the one used by OpenAI’s ChatGTP. However, more developers and investors are now focusing on the image AI generative tools to help web3 content creators become competent on the global market.

Moreover, it is estimated that the generative AI industry is set to grow to as much as $52 billion by 2028 from around $12 billion in 2023. As a result, DroppGroup and UC Berkeley are confident of exponential growth in the coming years, especially amid the ongoing crypto mass adoption around the world.

Notably, the company’s droppPhygital content generation platform currently uses GMI through droppaMiGO, its proprietary system. This system uses GMI to transform simple inputs, like photographs, into intricate 3D models and immersive digital environments.
